The spooky season is approaching! THE SOUTHSIDE, Hong Kong's lifestyle and cultural destination in the Southern District, is proud to present Hong Kong’s first-ever ‘EYES ON YOU’ Haunted Forest. From 10 October to 2 November 2025, step into an eerie realm and dive into a slew of surprises, as British art collective Designs in Air transforms the mall into a bewildering forest dotted with playful inflatables. Get ready to be boo’d! 

And the thrill goes non-stop at THE SOUTHSIDE, headlined by the ‘Cantopop Halloween Night’ on 25 October. Expect an extravaganza of Cantopop classics, courtesy of popular singers and DJs, completed with spooky dances and Halloween special drinks. On Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, themed booth games and spooky parades will send thrills and spills amid non-stop hair-raising Halloween music and bloodcurdling sound!

Hong Kong’s First ‘EYES ON YOU’ Bewilder Forest with Seven IG-worthy Inflatable Installations

● The 5-metre-tall Forest Overlord Grollop smashes into THE SOUTHSIDE's LG Atrium to wave hello! This lively three-eyed monster with goggling eyes playfully bares its fangs to warn visitors: ‘Watch your step! Or you’ll be tumbling into the molten lava pit to become our kind!’

● Look who’s spying! Meet the curious Sneaky Spectre Kevin, whose slimy first presence at THE SOUTHSIDE behind the rail, with his bulging eyes and lengthy arms poking out, makes an unusual invitation to the Haunted Forster!

● The monster legion is about to attack on the LG Floor! The Forest Overlord, Sneaky Spectre, and other ghostly creatures are out to meet you. Dress up now in your most fang-tastic costume and join the spooktacular party!

● The towering 4-metre-plus Twin Monsters are standing guard in THE SOUTHSIDE Piazza! Come play with the conjoined duo, with intense gazes screaming ‘I’m here’!

● The dazzling forest overlord Grollop and the bashful ghost Kevin appeared together onscreen! They showed up on the massive 3D curved display at LG Open Piazza, greeting everyone and wishing you a Happy Halloween!

● Eyes on you! A mysterious pair of giant eyes on G/F of THE SOUTHSIDE is set to subject all living souls under their Halloween spell! Come and embrace this creepily cute vibe with your pets!

● Monster alert! A 2.5-metre-tall green creature, Howler, with bold colour and a hilarious, horrified face is gatecrashing! Capture this screamy little urchin with your camera!

Colourful Giant Installations by British Artist Duo Designs in Air

Designs in Air have created a brand-new art installation called “Filthy Monsters” specially for this Halloween. Designs in Air is headed by artist Filthy Luker. The company have created a family of inflatable Monsters that are installed simultaneously in many cities across the UK over Halloween. The artists have created some special versions of their Filthy Monsters just for us and they are making their debut appearance at THE SOUTHSIDE this month!

Non-stop Celebration: Gigs and DJ Sets at Halloween Concert 

Join THE SOUTHSIDE’s ‘Pawlloween’ Ghost Parade on 19 October! All pet owners (hoomans) and their four-legged friends are invited! Put on your spookiest costumes and march alongside hundreds of ghostly creatures.

On 25 October, brace yourself for a screamy night packed with high-octane fun at the ‘Halloween Cantopop Night’! Beloved idols will perform classic Cantopop hits, while DJs groove up the day with powerful beats! There'll be Halloween-themed drinks to fuel the party. Come and revel in the ultimate music bash!

Professional dancers are tapped to deliver a spectacle with extraordinary moves and skills, sure to dial up the party! Meanwhile, costumed performers will take over the stage with unique choreography. Don your most creative costumes and dive into the haunted carnival!

Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday between 10 October and 2 November, Halloween game booths spring up at our Atrium. Meet the challenge head-on at ‘Spooky Eyes’, ‘Hat Trick’ and ‘Spider Eyes’ to win a fabulous gift. On selected dates, catch our Ghost Parades on different themes, featuring vampires, evil crowns and many more for frights and delights.

Throughout the campaign period, festive atmosphere hits high notes at THE SOUTHSIDE with non-stop Halloween music and sound effects. From taking selfies to partaking in festive activities, feel the mysterious and playful energy everywhere you go as you immerse yourself fully in this one-of-a-kind Halloween adventure!

The celebration culminates in a special ‘Trick-or-Treat’ party on 31 October! All hell breaks loose as monsters, ghosts and visitors march in for this Halloween tradition. Simply say ‘Trick or Treat’ to staff at designated stores to receive free candies and goodies!
